Does Pressure-Treated Wood Belong in Your Garden?

Does Pressure-Treated Wood Belong in Your Garden? A very comprehensive article on the subject of pressure treated wood in the garden. Also, this issue should be considered for building sandboxes for children. It appears that the jury is still out on the level of arsenic exposure caused by leaching of pressure treated wood into a garden. Certainly something worth considering the potential risk when levels can reach 20 ppm in some studies. Apparently, Europe does not allow the sale of arsenic pressure treated wood (I've been told this is true by two neighbors). There is an alternative detailed in the article called ACQ, which is a little more expensive, but much more environmentally sound in it's creation and use.
